Prevents your email address from being harvested by spam robots.

1. This script will allow you to encode your e-mail address. This prevents the automated harvesting of your email address from your web pages. Simply enter your regular e-mail address in the first text box, click the encode button at the bottom of the page, and then highlight and copy the resulting code produced in the second text box.

2. Now replace the email address with this code wherever the email address appears in your HTML CODE. Caution! It is a good idea to use notepad or some other plain text editor for this operation. Some programs like MS Front Page or Dreamweaver MX will not retain the changes you make and the email will not stay encoded as you intended.

3. When you view the actual webpage, the email address will function and look normal but the code page will not be recognized as an email address to the spam harvesting robots. Simple but effective. Be sure to test your work to be sure that the email works as it should and check the code again to make sure the email is still encoded.
